Lapland Cosmetics was inspired by the Arctic wilderness to solve a problem many of us face—skin that struggles in extreme conditions. With our founder’s personal experience of sensitive and dry winter skin as the starting point, we set out to find effective solutions beyond traditional skincare. Seed oils often felt too heavy and occlusive, and they didn’t provide lasting relief. This sparked curiosity about what our ancestors used—or what people in rural areas still rely on today. That curiosity led us to tallow, an ingredient that has nourished skin for centuries. But why had no one explored the potential of reindeer tallow? Intrigued by its promise, we decided to give it a try.
